I grew up in Spain and come from a large family with many children, so I'm used to being surrounded by kids. From a young age, I took permanent care of my little brother and nephew after school, both since they were babies. With my mother being a teacher, I was also heavily involved in helping with school plays and events, which gave me invaluable experience in working with children. Additionally, I’ve tutored kids in Spanish and English, which has allowed me to help them develop strong language skills.
Currently, I’m studying at university and pursuing a career in international business, with hopes of traveling the world in the future.
My Experience
Babysitting my little brother and nephew
for several years, I have been the primary caregiver for my little brother and nephew after school, from the time they were born. I’ve cared for them for 4 hours each day, handling their basic needs, such as feeding, bathing, and playtime. My responsibilities extended to organising creative activities, and ensuring a structured routine. This experience taught me patience and how to manage daily childcare routines, creating a positive and nurturing environment.
Babysitting neighbours' children
during the summer breaks, often for full days. We spent our time doing a variety of activities such as going to the park, creating arts and crafts, baking cookies, and engaging in outdoor play. These full-day sessions allowed me to manage schedules, meals, and activities while ensuring the children had a fun, safe, and stimulating experience.
Tutoring in Spanish at school
I tutored younger students in Spanish for several hours each week. I worked with children at different skill levels, helping them improve their vocabulary, grammar, and speaking abilities through personalised lesson plans. This experience strengthened my communication skills and gave me the opportunity to support children academically in a one-on-one setting.
My Qualifications
I have GCSEs, A-levels, and Spanish equivalent qualifications. Currently, I am pursuing a bachelor's degree, building on my strong academic foundation across both British and Spanish educational systems.
