About Me
I'm a dedicated and passionate special needs tutor, committed to providing holistic, child-centred support for children and young people (3 to 18 years old) with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
My approach is rooted in the belief that every child, regardless their learning difficulty, or disability/range of impairments, has the potential to thrive when given the right opportunities and guidance tailored to their individual needs and interests.
By tailoring activities to each child’s unique needs, methods of communication and personal interests and incorporating their individual strategies (when OT, SALT and Physiotherapy programmes are in place) in my sessions, I create a learning environment that is engaging and effective.
Keeping in mind that learners particularly benefit from learning that is structured around daily routines that provide opportunities for repetition, I also focus on using each child’s unique environment and daily routines as valuable learning opportunities to develop/consolidate skills. By using multisensory and immersive learning approaches that integrate fun activities and play based into their daily lives, I create opportunities for growth that are both meaningful and engaging. Whether it’s through hands on activities, sensory play, or creative problem solving, I tailor my sessions to align with each child’s individual needs, interests and strengths, and make adaptations to the child/young person’s environment when appropriate, ensuring they have the supports needed in place to thrive.
My ultimate goal is to make learning not just accessible, but enjoyable, helping children and young people with SEND thrive in every aspect of their lives.
My Experience
I'm a Qualified Primary Teacher with 9 years of experience in teaching children and young people with SEND from Early Years up to KS4/Preparation for Adulthood, in a number of schools in London, catering for a range of needs (Primary schools with provision for children with Autism; Pupil Referral Units; SEMH schools; SEND schools for children/young people with Severe Learning Needs, Complex Learning Needs and Profound and Multiple Disabilities).

Bachelors Degree in Journalism (University of Coimbra, Portugal, 2009);
Post-Graduate Certificate in Education (University of Buckingham, 2020);
My Availability
Available all week from before school to after school and Saturdays (afternoons and evenings only).
Open to work, occasionally, some evenings in the week (currently only available Tuesdays and Fridays) and Sundays to make adjustments for learners' individual weekly timetables, or for specifically planned activities/outings in the community.

Home tutoring for Communication, Sensory regulation, Emotional and Behavioural regulation skills from 3 to 18 years old - £45 per hour
Home tutoring for independence skills from 3 to 18 years old (feeding, clothing and hygiene routines) - £45 per hour
Home tutoring for independence skills at home from 5 to 18 years old (cooking, cleaning/laundry, shopping, home economics) - £45 per hour
Home tutoring for independence skills at home for young adults 19 to 25 years old (cooking, cleaning/laundry, shopping, home economics) - £45 per hour
Home tutoring for sensory and physical development for children and young people with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties, disabilities and medical needs (from 3 to 18 years old) - 45£ per hour
