About Me
My name is Dan, I have over 4 years childcare experience as a childminding assistant but now fully Ofsted registered at my own home.
I set up Stepping Stones Childcare to give parents the chance to leave their children in a warm, caring home from home environment.
At Stepping Stones Childcare we are a small setting enabling high quality one-to-one care for your child. We pride ourselves on being an outdoor/out-and-about setting. We have a fun, child friendly garden space for the children to play. We also often visit local parks, the seaside, zoo and library as part of our daily activities.
I am supported part time by my wife Jess, who is registered with Ofsted and fully trained.
I have two daughters of my own who are 4 years and 1 years old, therefore I fully understand the needs of working parents.
In my care, children will be learning and developing to their full potential whilst having fun. I will be supporting your child’s development using the Early Years Foundation stage (EYFS)
I have numerous qualifications which has given me very good knowledge of child development and working with very individual children, some with complex needs.
My Experience
Choosing childcare for your child can be a very daunting experience. Maybe you are returning back to work, or feel your child needs to be mixing with other children, or you just need a little break. Leaving your child you have raised and know all about, their little ways, their likes and dislikes etc can have mixed emotions. I fully understand that leaving a child in someone else’s care can be a very difficult experience for some parents. I will work closely with you to ensure you and your child are fully supported with this change, whilst getting the most out of the time they are in my care.
I will in addition, make sure I know as much as possible about your child before you leave them in my care. If your child has any disabilities, a medical care plan will also be put in place.

My Availability
I have availability from September 2025 Monday - Wednesday 8am - 5pm.
I currently have no spaces available until September 2025.
I am able to drop off and pick up from Elm Tree Primary school.
I am term time only although may have flexibility during school holidays.
I am closed bank holidays.

My fees are £6 per hour.
I am able to accept government childcare funding.
