About Me
Hi, i'm Diane I am an ofsted registered child minder of 27 years experience. I live in a house in Sidcup in between new Eltham station and Sidcup station. I love my job and cant imagine doing anything else.
Im always going out and doing fun activities with the children, we go to the park, music time, toddler groups, sensory and to feed the ducks. We also do lots of creative activities like cutting and sticking and making cakes. And if you as parents have any suggestions of activities and groups you would like your child to go to, please feel free to discuss them with me.
My Experience
I have been childminding for 27 years. I have looked after all age ranges, from newborns to 13 year olds.
My Qualifications
I have attended all courses of first aid, the Early Years Foundation & observing & safe guarding children. I have been CRB checked aswell as my immediate family. In my Recent Ofsted inspection was October 2023 the grade I received was Good in all areas.
My Availability

I pick up from Holy Trinity Lamorbey school and nursery.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
I work from 7.30am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. I include 3 meals of the day & a variety of snacks.
Registered childminders are able to take vouchers/and or family credit.

I am available before and after school for children at Holy Trinity Lamorbey and have space for 2/3 days a week for under 5s.

My daughter was with Diane and Jade from the age of one year old and absolutely loved her time with them! They settled her in quickly and she felt like part of a big family with them and the other children of all ages! She loved the cat and dog too!
We loved the homely environment provided with fun toys, craft activities and interesting activities out in the garden, as well as trips out too! Home-cooked meals were brilliant!
She was always excited to go there and we couldn’t have asked for a better childminder to look after our little one and help nurture her at such a young age.
We really appreciated great communication with us and all the love given to our daughter.
Our daughter misses them all now that she has moved on to pre-school.

My husband and I feel extremely lucky to have found Di when we started the daunting task of looking for a childminder for our little boy. When my son had just turned one and I was going back to work, we wanted him to be in a homely, loving, stimulating and fun environment. That’s exactly what he has at Di’s... and more! Our little boy is now two and a bit and we are leaving the area to live closer to family - we are dreading leaving Di, and I’m not sure how we will find a new childminder who quite meets our high expectations now! We felt instantly comfortable leaving our son with Di and he absolutely loves his days with her. Di is warm and kind and it’s easy to see why she has such strong, natural bonds with the kids she looks after - we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Di if you’re looking for a childminder in the area.

My son had his last day with Di yesterday before he heads off to senior school and I have to say .... there were tears!! We were so lucky to find Di, she is simply the best! She welcomed my son into the fold and treated him like family. She makes all the children feel so welcome and instills in them a sense of belonging, it’s done wonders for his confidence and inter-personal skills, being there with other children young and old and it’s really nice seeing him with them all and creating such wonderful bonds. They were always doing something different, getting out and about to Parks, Zoos and even the Cinema sometimes. My son has thoroughly enjoyed his time there and is truly sad to not be going anymore, I can hand on heart say Di is the best!! Thank you

Di was the first childminder we met when searching for childcare and we knew she would be perfect for our baby straight away! Since my daughter was around 7 months old she has been with Di and has developed amazingly ever since. I returned to work full time when she was 10 months knowing that she was happy and stimulated every day she’s with Di and the other children in her care. Honestly couldn’t ask for a better childminder who provides a caring, family orientated and fun environment every day.

Diane has looked after my daughters (2 and 4) for the past two years. When returning to work I was nervous about finding childcare but they always look forward to going and are reluctant to leave at the end of the day which is testament to the loving care and nurturing they experience at Diane's. She takes time with each of the little ones to encourage and support their development and interests. With her experience, I have always had great confidence in their safety when they are out and about with her - and that is one of the great things is that they are always busy going to the park or to activities. She encourages an energetic, playful atmosphere where all the children of different ages engage with each other. I have no hesitation in recommending Diane to anyone looking for a childminder in Sidcup!

My son had been going to Di's since he was 4 and absolutely loves her as do we. Di treats the children as one of the family and because of this all the children take care of each other and build little relationships, which is great. My son has grown up with Di and from being looked after but the older ones is now an older one himself and loves looking after the little ones and this all because Di has taught them how important it is to share and care for one. She's more than just a childminder, she is someone with whom you can put all your trust to look after and chastise (when necessary) your child when you can't. As you can tell, my husband and I would thoroughly recommend her.

My daughter has been with Dianne since she was 18 months, she is now almost 6 and still absolutely loves being with her.
When she first started she settled in straight away and has always been really happy there and often doesn't want to come home! Dianne encouraged her speech, and her social skills came on in leaps and bounds. She thrives in the caring and supportive environment provided by Dianne and I have always been extremely happy with the service she provides.
I would highly recommend Dianne, and in my opinion she cares for all the children as if they were her own. She undertakes all different activities with all the children and also takes them on regular outings.

We need a childcare minder for 2 weeks, and we found Diane. We are so lucky to have her, a nice, caring and also she love the children she took care of so much. She is so nice to my son for him to set up, she taught my son to clap, and also so many toys at her home for the little one to explore:) Although the time is not very long, we will definitely to have her as our childcare minder in the future if needed.

For the past 14 years Diane has looked after my 3 children, my eldest has now left and my son is about to move on to secondary school, it will be so sad to see him leave her home.
My youngest is currently at dianes 5 days a week and she couldnt be happier about it!!
It makes my day at work as headmistress so much easier knowing that my child is being looked after by a very safe and caring pair of hands.
I am writing this review so that others realize how lovely the care of a childminder can be if you find the right one and i definitely have!!

Diane is a fantastic childminder. She has previously provided excellent care for my 9 month old, 4 year old and 7 year old and knowing my children were well looked after made my life easier at work! She is down to earth, caring, not afraid to get her hands dirty! and always has healthy snacks to hand! I would highly recommend Diane as she treated my children as if they were her own and made their time with her safe and fun.
