About Me
I've spent almost half my life now doing outreach work with children living homeless on the streets in Kenya and Uganda. I've also worked with child refugee's from South Sudan in Kenya. Whilst living in Uganda I began making music and now I spend most of my time in music studios recording songs. When I'm not writing and singing, I'm gyming or boxing.
My Experience
I grew up with four younger sisters so I was a mother figure from about the age of 11. I helped raise my youngest sister and this gave me the best experience for childcare. At 16 I began teaching German in a junior school and Youth Hockey in sports clubs. By 18 I was working as a Au Pair in Germany and at 19 I got a placement in a boarding junior school in Kenya as a teacher in sports, creative arts and philosophy. Since then I've been dedicated to working with children living on the streets in East Africa - I've worked in many outreach projects and local charities to better understand the problems facing the children. I then went on to help establish 2 independant charities, one in kenya and one in Uganda. I support two children myself - one who calls me mum.
My Qualifications
I have a university degree in Geography with German. I play Piano to grade 7 and achieved my Gold medal in Speech and Drama through RADA. I studied English Lit, German, Fine Art and Biology at A Level - I mention this incase its helpful for homework help. I'm definately more creatively minded.
