My Experience

I have a diverse background in childcare and education, which equips me with the skills necessary to provide high-quality care as a nanny:

Primary School Teacher: I have taught various age groups, developing tailored lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student. This experience has honed my ability to engage children in meaningful learning experiences and foster their curiosity.

Intensive Family Support Worker: In this role, I supported families facing challenges, helping to create stability and promote positive family dynamics. This experience taught me the importance of communication and understanding the individual needs of both children and parents.

Support Worker for Children with Additional Support Needs (ASN): I have worked closely with children who require extra support, employing specialised strategies to help them succeed. My patience and adaptability ensure that every child feels valued and capable.

Nanny and Babysitter in America: During my time in the United States, I cared for children in various family settings, learning to navigate different parenting styles and household dynamics. This role enhanced my ability to be flexible, responsive, and creative in engaging children in activities.

Through these experiences, I have developed a strong foundation in childcare, emphasising education, emotional support, and creativity. I am excited about the opportunity to bring my skills to your family and create a nurturing environment for your children.

My Qualifications

I have a MA in Education which provided me with a solid foundation in child development, educational psychology, and teaching methodologies.
I am a fully qualified primary school teacher, registered with General Teaching Council for Scotland.
I am pediatric first aid and CPR trained which is crucial for ensuring children's safety in emergencies.
I have completed additional training in areas such as Trauma Informed Practice, child psychology and play pedagogy which further enhances my ability to support diverse learners.
I actively engage in CPD to stay current with best practices in education, including workshops and courses on inclusive education, creativity in childhood and literacy and numeracy education.

My Availability

I am available all day 2 days a week (flexible) and every weekday evening. I can also be available at weekends. I am flexible.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £17.00 per hour
• Nannying from £17.00 per hour (gross)

£17 an hour, however I am flexible dependant on circumstances.
