My Experience
While I may be young, I have accumulated a diverse range of childcare experience. Since I was fourteen, I have regularly babysat for several families, who would be happy to provide references. Over the past five years, I’ve cared for children aged 2 to 12. During my time in Sixth Form, I studied child language development and, as part of my English Language coursework, I worked with children aged 4 to 6, helping them learn to read and enhance their literacy skills.
I achieved six A* grades and three A grades at GCSE, followed by A*AB in my A Levels (in English Literature, English Language, and Economics). Additionally, I have experience tutoring primary school students in Maths and English, as well as offering support in English Literature and Language up to GCSE level.
Moreover, I hold a DBS certificate from my work as a personal assistant for a child with special educational needs under Cheshire East Council. In this role, I gained invaluable experience while supporting a 9-year-old boy with autism, taking him to various activities such as the cinema and mini-golf. This position also involved driving, which further enhanced my ability to manage challenging situations in a childcare setting.
