About Me
Mature mother of two adult children, I am a writer - finishing my first book - and looking for enjoyable part-time, local 'work'. Intelligent, responsible, kind and fun, I enjoy being with children and believe there is no better experience than having brought up one's own; however, I also believe in the right fit, trusting one's instincts and, therefore, much is dependent on meeting - for all concerned. I'd love to find the right family in St Andrews with whom I could build an easy rapport and trust - with both the children and parents - making it fun and mutually beneficial.
My Experience
My experience is as a mother of two - a daughter and son, both now adults. I was a stay-at-home mother and loved every minute of it - never bored! I used to regularly volunteer for school outings and, in fact, my life just revolved around my 'three' children - two and our beloved dog. Organised and responsible, we had a lot of fun. A sense of humour so important!
My Qualifications
I studied English at Edinburgh University before going on to do a graduate secretarial course. I have a proof-reading certificate and have written a blog for ten years. Writing is my passion but I am very much a people person.
My Availability
I spend my days writing - and, recently, a bit of tour-guiding - and, thus, can organise my own time. I am really looking for something part-time - perhaps a couple of days/week - but am flexible.
