About Me
Hello my name is Abbiemay. I’ve been working with children in many different settings for most of my life. It’s a great opportunity to be able to see the children grow and learn new things in their life, and just being able to be apart of that is so great. I am a patient person which I think is key when being around children and is important because it helps create a safe and supportive environment and they can express themselves and learn at their own pace. I am a creative person and I show this through my art work I do in my personal life, that I also enjoy being into my work seatings.
My Experience
My first experience I have with children would be babysitting my Nephew (Sisters Son) where my main responsibilities were taking and picking him up from school, helping him with his homework / reading, making dinner and lunch for the next school day, and putting him to bed.
My latest experience I have had with children is being a teaching assistant throughout two years. The first year I was mainly working with year 3 (7-8 year olds) my main responsibilities were mainly with SEND children one-to-one with a few children helping them with the class work that we was doing and helping with reading and writing and during play time and lunch time i would be out side with them and listen to the stories and they would love when I play with them.
During the second year I mainly worked with reception (3-5 year olds) my main responsibilities were a small group of children to teach phonics too, helping with the English and maths activities also the reading and writing activities and leading other activities going and in free time they would show me there drawings and tell me about there lives

I am a student in Middlesex university, my schedule is Monday is a full day (9am till 4pm) Tuesdays in a later day (1:30pm till 4pm) Thursday is also a later day (1:30pm till 4pm)
