About Me

I trained professionally as a ballet dancer until the age of 18, where myself and a few others decided to follow a more reliable career due to some fellow dancers getting serious injuries within the first year.
I therefore decided to train as an interior designer / architect. I completed a Bachelor degree with Honours at the Kingston School of Art, London, and worked a few years in this industry on residential and superyacht projects. However, a desk job was not for me!
I left my previous job in Interior Design in July, and after a few months off I decided to follow my initial path again and train as a Pilates Instructor and Nutritionist. I’m so passionate about movement and foods to keep healthy, and this (as well as my love for design!) is something I feel very strongly about in my nannying roles.

During University in London, I was a nanny for a lovely family in Richmond. I did 4 days a week (school drop off and after school) for 3 children aged 6, 9 and 11. They were very sad when I left to start my first “9-5”. We did many after school activities like dance, rugby and football, and on the occasional weekend when the parents needed help I’d take them on days out. Sadly the parents divorced just before I started working with these children, so helping the children through this as well as helping their mum out with laundry and food shopping was also a large role I had to play - I absolutely loved every second.

Sailing was also a huge part of my life growing up, with both parents being ex-professionals, and when my younger sisters were the right age we joined the Cadet group at our original Family Yacht Club on the East Coast. There is 5 years between myself and my 2 sisters, so with larger age gaps we were all taking on very different roles - the youngest being a “beginner cadet” and myself helping with my parents in Volunteer roles. Helping our every Saturday during the summer seasons and during the Cadet Activity Week when I was younger taught me so much about keeping kids occupied by having fun, and making sure they’re learning and being safe.
Additionally with this, I also volunteered helping to teach children’s ballet classes, and during theatre week where they would perform in their summer shows, I would help to safeguard and organise large groups of children, looking after those who were both overly excited and those that were extremely nervous!

I’m really hoping to help a family out, alongside studying my courses!
