About Me
We’re a young family originally from Cape Town, South Africa, living in SW London. We welcomed our gorgeous first born in September 2024! I’m currently on maternity leave until April 2025 when I return to work at a school. Our daughter will be 7 months old at the time of my return to work. My husband works from home and occasionally goes in to work in Wimbledon and London surrounds. We have two cats at home, one that came with us from SA and another we adopted from Bahrain!
We value an outdoors lifestyle and would love to make sure our daughter learns to love it too!
My Requirements
With limited to no family support in the UK, we are in need of a nanny to care for our daughter from the beginning of April 2025. I work school hours 4 days/week, so will need 6-7 hours/day of care, 24-28 hours a week. During school holidays I’ll still be working but from home so these hours would be adhoc and discussed ahead of the school holidays/half terms.
We are looking for a minimum of 6 month commitment.
Mostly, we would love to find a good fit for our family- a nanny to give our daughter lots of love , cuddles and 1 to 1 attention as the main focus of their time with her. We’re happy to have you bring along your own child too, our daughter is already very social and it would be lovely for her to start connecting with another child.
The below can be discussed as I’m not sure if I’ve included everything that a nanny usually sees to since it’s our first time figuring this all out but here are other things we need you to do:
- Help with bottle feeds (I will have expressed breast milk)
- Sterilising bottles and help with weaning for solid food transition
- Washing and hanging up baby’s clothes
- Nappy changes
- Cleaning of changing mat, making sure baby bag is refilled if anything is used
- Keeping a log if anything needs replacing like nappies/wet wipes/clothes/toys so I can purchase ahead of time before we run out
- Educational activities, music, movement and sensory play schedule daily (I can help put this together but mostly just lots of love , cuddles and 1 to 1 attention as priority)
- Indoor and outdoor guided play
- Outdoor walks at least twice/day
-Nap time, at the moment our daughter loves to contact nap and/or bed-share, we are not sure if she will outgrow this by 7 months old, however we would like to continue to honour this until she is developmentally ready to sleep on her own. We do not welcome sleep training or cry it out methods.
