My Experience
During my last year in sixth form, my health and social care class had multiple visits to Chailey Heritage School, we supported staff with students' daily tasks which were individualised to each student's specific needs.
I've had the opportunity to babysit for several families, caring for children ranging from toddlers to pre-teens. During this time, I've developed strong skills in ensuring their safety, providing age-appropriate activities, and maintaining a calm and positive environment. I’ve prepared meals and snacks, assisted with homework, and led creative play. I’ve also handled bedtime routines, ensuring children feel comfortable and secure. My experience has taught me how to quickly adapt to each child’s individual needs, manage multiple children at once, and communicate effectively with both parents and kids. Overall, I take pride in offering both a safe and fun experience for children, while giving parents peace of mind.
