About Me
We’re a couple in our mid thirties, expecting our first babies (boy/girl twins) in May. We live in Altrincham, close to Stamford Park. I have a corporate career in HR and my husband Ata is a surgeon.
I’ll be at home on maternity leave during the first year. We’re looking for general household / mother’s help for a couple of hours twice a week during that first year.
Following that, we’ll be looking for a nanny 2-3 days per week. This could potentially be the same person who stays with us and transitions into the nannying position however the first year will be more focused on housekeeping/cleaning (more details below).
My Requirements
During my maternity leave we’d like someone who can come over twice per week for a couple of hours to provide general household/mother’s help.
Tasks might include things like:
- Tidying
- General cleaning - hoovering, bathrooms, kitchen, dishwasher etc.
- Children’s laundry
- Watching children for short periods while I shower etc. or helping to get them ready to go out.
- Batch cooking / making simple meals
- Occasional deep cleaning e.g. cleaning inside the fridge
This can be flexed depending on the person and their preferences/skillset. We’re open to someone more interested in a cleaning/housekeeping role or someone who is more interested in childcare and keen to transition into the nanny position later.
For the nanny position, which wouldn’t start until May/June 2026, this would include sole charge childcare with a focus on developmental activities, including taking the children out each day. It would also include light housework such as children’s laundry, tidying the nursery and batch cooking nutritious meals for the children. This would be a long-term position, until the children start school and beyond.
