About Me
Hi, I'm Kyla, a mum of two children aged 4 and 7. I provide a safe home from home environment in which children can learn, explore, play and have fun together. I believe children learn best when they are having fun, and it is through play based activities and exploration that we will cover all of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum. I provide a variety of different learning opportunities and follow the children's interests. We love to be outdoors and have a large garden in which to explore, with outdoor toys, natural resources, digging, planting and growing and of course getting messy! It is important to be out and about in the local community. We regularly visit the beach, local park and join other childminders and local groups. Reading and sharing books is one of my favourite things, we have daily story time and often have a focus book for the week.
My Experience
I have been a primary school teacher for the last 15 years, including teaching Early Years. I have completed lots of courses and training relating to children's development.

Kyla has been watching my 16 month old son for the past few months and in that time I’ve seen him thrive! You can see she really cares for her work and with her teaching background, he is learning new skills every week. Kyla creates an environment for my son to learn about the world around him, through play, life skills, and spending a lot of time outdoors. I’m kept informed about his days and the things he enjoys through her messages and pictures. He loves going to Kyla’s everyday and I feel assured that he safe, comfortable, and happy. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Kyla.

Kyla provides an outstanding setting, which is always lots of fun! My youngest always used to love her days spent with Kyla- especially if they got to bake or do lots of messy, creative activities.
Kyla’s calm, caring manner means that children feel safe to be themselves and her creativity means that they get to express themselves in a variety of new and exciting ways, each time they visit.
Kyla’s communication was always excellent. She provided regular updates and photos during the day while I was at work, and nothing was too much when it came to ensuring my daughter’s needs were met. Highly recommended.
