My Summary

My Experience

I volunteered at my local primary school for a year, working with children from the ages of 5-10, mainly helping them with their reading and writing skills. Seeing the children through overcoming many challenges gave me a great deal of fulfilment as well as enjoyment in caring for them!

I am also independent and can handle emergencies, shown through my leadership role in Greggs as a Supervisor, where I do have to deal with health and safety issues from time to time. One of which included the care of a 10 year old boy who had suffered a head injury in store. I stayed calm throughout and followed first aid procedures, although I am not formally trained in first aid. As a Supervisor I also have to handle complaints and manage differences both with staff and customers! I believe this has made me incredibly patient, a skill that definitely comes in handy when dealing with children!

My Qualifications

I don’t have any formal childcare qualifications. However I am currently studying for a degree in psychology, where I have gained a lot of knowledge in the areas of child developmental psychology.

My Availability

Mainly weekends. Could also do Wednesdays.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour

Wednesdays £10 per hour. Saturdays and Sundays £11 per hour with a small premium on Saturday evenings (6pm-9pm) of £1.50 per hour.
