About Me
I have a PGCE in (Secondary) English and a degree in Linguistics. I am passionate about high-quality, personalised education that inspires and challenges young people regardless of their starting level. Although I took a rigorous approach to academics as a secondary-school teacher, I always adapt my methods to the needs and skills of my students, and pay close attention to what best enables them to make steady progress. Education should be about more than simply passing exams or accumulating knowledge - it should cultivate a genuine desire to learn and a curiosity about the world.
My Experience
I received my PGCE from the University of Oxford in 2023. Whilst there, I taught at two co-educational comprehensive schools, after which I taught at a boys' grammar school in Buckinghamshire. Prior to this, I spent a year as a teaching assistant for students with a variety of special educational needs.
As a teacher, I have taught the whole range of secondary Key Stages (KS3-5). I have taught the AQA exam board material for English Language and Literature GCSE, and the AQA specification at A-Level.

My Availability
I am available on weekday mornings and afternoons, with some evening availability subject to arrangement. Some ability to work weekends is subject to arrangement.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £20.00 per hour
Due to my qualifications and past experience in education, I charge £20 an hour for tuition.
