About Me

I have 2 beautiful children - daughter age 9 and a son currently age 9mths. I am currently on maternity leave however I am looking to return back to work at the start of April.

As a family we enjoy days out, outdoor activities, games and generally making memories.

Prior to my current job, I worked in childcare for 10 years, starting out as an apprentice and working up to become a nursery manager. Part of my ethos during my childcare years and as a manager was learning through play and creating a home from home environment where children felt safe, secure and welcomed.
I am a believer that learning is not confined to 'worksheets' or 'a classroom' and that the world is actually the classroom in which children can and will learn many skills required to set them up for life. I want my children to learn through experiences, through real life and from enriching opportunities that will provide them with life skills and develop their confidence and independence. I want them to be able to engage in risk taking and problem solving. Id like them to be challenged and to be stimulated. I love thrive and nuture settings and I feel these are so beneficial to children and this is the feel and environment I would like for my children.
The most paramount thing however is that I want my children to feel safe, secure and happy and to create good relationships with their carers and peers.
