About Me

Hi. My name is Verity.
I’m married and a mum to 2 boys aged 9 and 12 years. I live in Locks Heath and have been looking into finding some new work. I trained as a physiotherapist but in August 2022, after 20 years specialising in neurology and paediatrics both in the NHS and privately, I decided to take myself off the Physiotherapy Register in order to care for firstly my mother-in-law then my own mother, both who have since passed away.
From October 2021 to August 2024, I was employed by Waypoint Church as the Children’s Work Coordinator which has included organising and running a busy TOTS morning, which I continue to do on a voluntary basis. Over a week I ran a team of 60+ volunteers and we saw 80+ children each week coming to groups that I’d plan for and oversee. I love being around children of all ages and my experience as a physio has helped me to be inclusive and creative with everyone’s own unique ability and age. From the ‘Gruffalo’ or ‘Noah’s Ark’ to ‘Under the sea’ and Christmas themes, there was messy play, songs and a craft waiting for these children. It is a delight to see children grow in confidence and joy as they discover and learn new wonders.
Having stepped out if this busy job, I would now like to see if I can help support a local family with ‘nannying’ which would allow me to focus on creating a fun and safe environment for your children and your family. I would be able to offer hours on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
