About Me
I am a caring and patient person who loves working and caring for children. I am deeply invested in getting to know each child I work with/care for individually so that I can understand their specific needs. I am currently based in Glasgow as freelance Tutor and Artist (as well as part-time barista). I am enthusiastic about creative and alternative ways of approaching childcare.
My Experience
I have been a Tutor for over 4 years (online and in person), teaching young people from ages 8 up to 18. In 2022 I worked as an SEN Teaching Assistant helping children ages 4 and upwards, which has offered me confidence in working with children with ASD and other disabilities. More recently, I have worked as a Creative Assistant for an Art Therapist in Primary Schools in Glasgow. I assisted art therapy groups and worked with children who struggled with the school system or environment. My experience has allowed me to adapt my approach and methods of support according to different contexts.
My Qualifications
I have a First-Class Undergraduate degree in English from University of Bristol and a MLitt Fine Art Practice from The Glasgow School of Art. I have other safeguarding qualifications for Tuition and working within education.
