Hiya! My name is Dilsa, I’m a third year student at the University of Edinburgh. Im a lover of animals… especially cats! I love to read classic and fantasy books and I’ve been told I always have too much energy and it goes very well in hand with children. I work Part time at a Harry Potter store in Edinburgh, I love to boast about my Gryffindor status.
I come from a bilingual home, speaking Turkish and English. I am the middle child of 2 sisters, so my life has always been hectic!
My Experience
I’ve been a baby sitter for local family friends for 4 years. In those 4 years I have taken care of kids under 2 years, from ages 3-11, as well as children with autism. Although I don’t have formal training for children with special needs, my 11 year old sister has autism and has given me first hand experience when caring for her.
As well as babysitting, I have also taken care of children as a stay in nanny for parents on holiday. The max number of days I have done this was 6 days.
Furthermore, I have avid experience taking care of dogs as I’m currently a dog sitter for my previous high school teacher!
My Qualifications
I don’t have my DBS qualification, but have a basic understanding of first aid. If you have any other questions regards my qualifications please don’t hesitate to ask :)
My Availability
I am available mainly during the day, however I’m also available to take care of kids during the evenings and night times.
