My Experience

I have had the pleasure of babysitting in Manchester, and these experiences have helped me develop strong skills in childcare and managing the diverse needs of children:

Hotel Babysitting Session: I once provided sporadic babysitting services for a family staying at a hotel. I took care of three children, one of whom was autistic. Despite the challenges, I was able to connect with them, manage their activities, and even put them to bed before their parents returned from their outing. The parents were delighted with how well I handled the situation and the care I provided.

Recurring Babysitting Engagement: I regularly babysit two children, one of whom is also autistic and occasionally has mood swings. I've found ways to channel their energy and interests into watching educational cartoons and engaging activities. The children are always excited to see me, and their parents appreciate the positive impact I've had on their routines and behavior.

My Qualifications

I am constantly striving to improve myself and my skills. I have received training from education specialists in Manchester, where I occasionally assist primary and secondary school teachers. To stay up-to-date, I regularly take online courses that provide practical advice on caring for children.

However, I firmly believe that true learning comes from hands-on experience. Every babysitting job I undertake teaches me a new skill or strategy that can't always be found in textbooks. This blend of formal training and real-world experience equips me with the knowledge and adaptability to provide the best care for children.

My Availability

I am currently jobhunting with prospects in certain companies that would require my presence at the office on a 9am - 5pm basis every weekday. However, I am willing to do overnight sessions as long as I am released early in the morning to go to work. During the weekends as well, my availability is to allow parents have that time off to themselves. On Sundays, I attend church in the mornings and will only be available in the evening.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour

I charge £12 per hour (for 1-3 number of children), which reflects my commitment to providing quality care and the value I bring to this role. I consider babysitting a job just like any other I am seeking, and it deserves fair compensation. However, I am open to negotiating rates with families I have worked with multiple times, based on the trust and fluidity of our relationship.
