About Me
Welcome to Cherry Blossom Childminding! ?
Hello everyone! My name is Sophie, and I’m so excited to introduce myself and my new childminding service to our wonderful community.
I have proudly lived in Honiton for over 20 years, attending both primary and secondary school right here. Now, as a parent myself, I understand just how important it is to find a setting where children feel safe, supported, and inspired.
I am a qualified Primary Teacher, also experienced as a Teaching Assistant (TA) and in supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Working with children has always been my true passion — helping them learn, grow, and blossom in a caring, nurturing environment.
At Cherry Blossom Childminding, my mission is to provide a home-from-home environment where every child’s individual needs are met and where they are given the care and opportunities to truly thrive. ?

My Experience
I hold a Primary PGCE teaching qualification and have experience as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), alongside completing several SEN training courses. I also have a BSc (Hons) in Geography, an AS Level in Health and Social Care, a GCSE in Childcare, and a Paediatric First Aid qualification.
With my educational background and hands-on experience, I am passionate about providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for all children.
