My Summary
Engaging & Nurturing Nanny | Possible English Tutor | Creative & Reliable Support For Busy Families
About Me
Experienced Nanny With a Professional Background: Nurturing, Creative, and Dedicated
Hello! I’m a highly experienced and caring nanny with a passion for supporting children’s learning, creativity, and well-being. Having studied English Literature at the University of Leeds, and working as a nanny alongside building a career in PR; I hold a background in both childcare and education, bringing a unique blend of academic support, creative engagement, and practical help to every family I work with.
Previous Experience:
For three wonderful years, I cared for a little girl named Emily, providing school runs, after-school care, and a structured but loving routine from breakfast to bedtime. Whether it was helping with homework, cooking nutritious meals, or winding down with a bedtime story, I ensured every day was filled with warmth, encouragement, and fun.
My passion for education extends beyond nannying: I spent seven years as a classroom assistant, working with children aged 5 to 10 to improve their reading skills. I know how to make learning engaging and confidence-boosting, whether it’s helping tutor English, encouraging creativity through crafts, or fostering a love for books and storytelling.
A Background in Creativity & Enrichment:
Besides nannying, I have built a successful career in PR and digital marketing, working my way up to Marketing Director, and holding other senior positions such as Head of PR, Senior Account Manager and Senior Strategist. This experience has given me a strong sense of organisation, adaptability, and attention to detail, not to mention a proficiency in all things AI, skills I now use to support busy families in any way I can.
Beyond academics, I love incorporating music, arts, and cultural activities into a child’s routine. I hold a Grade 6 in singing, enjoy crafting, gourmet cooking, and exploring museums and galleries, and love bringing creativity into everyday life—from fun molecular gastronomy projects to DIY art activities.
Reliable & Flexible Support for Your Family:
I understand that every family’s needs are different, and I’m always happy to pick up whatever is needed to make life easier. Whether that means helping with household organisation, preparing meals, or planning enriching activities, I take pride in creating a smooth and stress-free environment for both parents and children.
Above all, I am kind, patient, and understanding, always striving to create a safe and warm space where children feel supported, and inspired to grow.
If you’re looking for a nanny who goes beyond childcare to provide meaningful learning, creative enrichment, and reliable support, I’d love to chat!
Why Am I Nannying?
From all of the above, you must be wondering why I'm nannying. The truth is that I'm looking to make a change and try and earn money from the things I really enjoy. For me, that's education, creativity and working with children. While I have a few freelance projects in PR on at the moment, once they conclude, I'll be looking to hopefully move more into the full-time realm of nannying. When I was little, my mum was very unwell, which left me to be looked after by a nanny from as young as 6 weeks old. She stayed with us and in my life until I went to University at 18. She's family and so I know how important choosing someone can be. It isn't just about whether your child can be looked after in the most rudimentary way. It's the trust, and seeing whether someone embodies the attributes that you value in instilling in your children. Honesty, kindness, integrity, reliability, hard-work and creativity are all values that I personally hold in high regard and would hope to relay to anyone I looked after.
My Experience
During school I worked as a classroom assistant for 7 years, one day a week. During university I then looked after a little 8 year old girl called Emily for 3 years during my studies with a student nanny program. This involved Monday - Friday nannying duties, including taking her to and from school, making dinner, breakfast and sometimes lunch, evening care, putting to bed and the occasional weekend or event.
My Qualifications
I have done first aid training and food hygiene and safety training. I also have a university education in English Literature and Film in addition to other marketing qualifications. I have additionally also worked on numerous Education charity campaigns, including one where I managed to get the largest brands in the North to band together to raise money for families during the cost of living crisis. While these may not all sound handy, it proves I’m articulate, intelligent, and driven to help and care for children.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £15.00 per hour
- Nannying from £16.97 per hour (gross)
I offer more than just childcare—I provide an enriching, educational, and nurturing environment where children can thrive. With my background in English Literature and education, and a career that took me to Marketing Director within six years, I bring a unique blend of academic support, creativity, and real-world experience to my role as a nanny.
Coming from a family of high achievers (my mother serves on the board of JPMorgan and Fidelity, and my father is an entrepreneur) - I understand the value of curiosity, ambition, and lifelong learning. I believe that the time a child spends with a nanny isn’t just about supervision; it’s about engagement, encouragement, and helping them discover their natural passions and propensities.
Every child is different, and with patience, kindness, and the right approach, I am confident I can help nurture their individuality while creating a safe, stimulating, and fun environment. Whether it’s tutoring, fostering creativity, or introducing cultural experiences, I ensure that the time spent in my care is both meaningful and enjoyable.
My fees reflect the high level of care, education, and enrichment I provide, and I’m happy to discuss specific needs to tailor my support to your family.
