About Me

I am a dedicated and experienced tutor with nearly 4 years of tutoring experience. I teach all subjects at Primary Level, 11+ tutoring, Maths at GCSE level and Biology & Chemistry at both GCSE and A level.

I am a third-year Biochemistry student at King’s College London, with a passion for Biology and Chemistry and a solid academic background. I achieved A grades in both Biology and Chemistry A-Level, as well as A**s (9s) in Maths, Further Maths, English Literature, English Language, Biology and Chemistry at GCSE, so I understand firsthand the challenges students face when mastering complex scientific concepts.

What I Offer:

- Personalised Tutoring: Every student has a unique learning style. I tailor each session to match your specific needs, whether you're preparing for exams, working on homework, or need help understanding tricky concepts.

- Structured Lessons: My lessons are well-organised, clear, and focused. I typically begin by reviewing key concepts, ensuring you understand the theory behind the topic. Then, I guide you through practical problems and exercises to apply what you've learned. I also provide resources such as practice questions, revision notes, and visual aids to reinforce learning.

- Active Learning Approach: I believe in making lessons interactive, so expect lots of engagement! Whether it's through problem-solving, quizzes, or discussions, I ensure you're actively participating and thinking critically. This helps to solidify your understanding and retain information for the long term.

- Exam Technique Focus: As someone who's been through the A-level and GCSE exams, I know how important exam technique is. I will help you refine your exam strategy, focusing on time management, answering exam-style questions, and breaking down complex questions into manageable parts.

- Flexible Scheduling: I offer flexible tutoring hours, including evenings and weekends, to fit your schedule. We can meet online or in-person, depending on your preferences and location.

Whether you're struggling with a particular topic or just looking to reinforce your knowledge or achieving the highest grades, I’m here to help you achieve your academic goals.

My Experience

With over four years of tutoring experience, I have had the pleasure of helping students excel across a variety of subjects, including Biology, Chemistry, and preparation for the 11+ exams. Throughout my tutoring career, I have worked with a range of students, from those tackling GCSE and A-Level material to those preparing for entrance exams like the 11+.

I am proud to say that all of my students have achieved the highest grades, with many securing A’s and A*s in their GCSE and A-Level exams. I’ve also helped 11+ candidates gain places at grammar schools, due to my personalised approach to exam preparation and problem-solving skills. My success lies in my ability to adapt my teaching style to each student’s unique learning needs, ensuring they not only understand the material but also feel confident and prepared for exams.

In addition to my subject-specific expertise, I focus heavily on exam technique, helping students develop effective study strategies, time management skills, and approaches for tackling different types of questions. I believe in fostering a positive and supportive learning environment, where students feel encouraged to ask questions and actively engage in the learning process. This approach has allowed my students to build both their knowledge and confidence, leading to outstanding results.

Whether it’s preparing for GCSEs, A-Levels, or the 11+, I am dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals and reach their full potential. My experience and passion for teaching make me well-equipped to support students through their educational journeys.

My Qualifications

I have a strong academic foundation, with A grades in both Biology and Chemistry at A-Level, as well as solid GCSE results, including A**s (9s) in Mathematics and English Literature and Language. I am also currently working towards achieving a First-Class degree in Biochemistry at King’s College London.

My Availability

I offer flexible tutoring hours to accommodate your schedule. On Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, I am available at any time, so we can arrange sessions that work best for you throughout the weekend. During the weekdays, my availability is after school and evenings due to my university commitments, but I’m happy to work around your preferred time in the evenings.

Feel free to reach out to discuss a schedule that suits you! I’m flexible and dedicated to providing consistent support to help you succeed.
