About Me
I am an experienced and dedicated primary school teacher, and the owner of Brighter Futures Tutoring. I am passionate about working with children and supporting them in reaching their full potential. After 10 years of teaching, I have decided to leave the classroom to embark on a new adventure as a primary school tutor, allowing me to provide more tailored, one-to-one support to help children thrive. Beyond academics, I have dedicated the past 15 years to volunteering as a leader with my local Girlguiding unit, helping children develop valuable life skills and excel outside of the classroom too. I believe in creating a positive, nurturing space where every child can grown in confidence and achieve success.
My Experience
I am a fully-qualified teacher with 10 years of full-experience, having taught all year groups up to Year 6, including Reception. I have extensive knowledge of the primary school curriculum and a strong track record of helping pupils make excellent progress. I am highly experienced in preparing children for key assessments, including the Phonics Screening Check and KS2 SATs, ensuring they build strong foundational skills and confidence in their learning. Additionally, I have significant experience working with pupils with SEND, adopting a patient, adaptable and determined approach to ensure every child finds a method of learning that works for them.
My Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Initial Teacher Education
Qualified Teacher Status
A-Levels in Accounting, Music and Psychology
GSCEs in Maths, English and Science
My Availability
I am available for 1:1 or 2:1 tuition, both in person from my own home, or online. I also offer online small group sessions.
My sessions can be focussed on Maths, Reading or Writing, or specific exam/assessment preparation.

My Fees
- Tutoring from £30.00 per hour
I charge £30 per hour for any 1:1 sessions, whether these take place in person or online. Small group sessions are charged at £20 per hour.
