As a babysitter, I come from a big household with three sisters, so I know all about the joys and challenges of family life. Growing up in such a lively environment has really shaped who I am and how I connect with kids. I’m currently studying nursing, which fuels my passion for caring for others and helps me create a safe and nurturing space for the children I look after.
I absolutely love the outdoors! Camping is one of my favorite activities, and I enjoy sharing that love with the kids. Whether it’s hiking, playing games, or just exploring nature, I believe it’s important for them to experience the great outdoors. Plus, I have a background in musical theatre, so I often bring that creativity into my babysitting. I love to sing, act, and play games that spark their imaginations.
I’m definitely a bubbly and outgoing person, which helps me build strong connections with the kids. I strive to create a fun and engaging atmosphere where they feel comfortable and happy. Being a babysitter allows me to combine my love for caring, adventure, and creativity, making each experience unique and enjoyable!
My Experience
During my placement in the nursery, I had the incredible opportunity to foster a little boy for six months. This experience was both rewarding and eye-opening. From the very beginning, I focused on building a trusting relationship with him. I spent time getting to know his likes, dislikes, and routines, which helped him feel more secure in our environment.
We engaged in various activities together, from arts and crafts to outdoor play, which allowed him to express himself and develop new skills. I made sure to create a nurturing atmosphere where he could feel comfortable exploring and learning. I also collaborated closely with the nursery staff to ensure we were all on the same page regarding his development and emotional needs.
Over the months, I watched him grow and thrive, and it was heartwarming to see his confidence build. This experience not only deepened my understanding of child development but also reinforced my passion for nurturing and supporting children in their journeys. Fostering him was a transformative experience that I will always cherish.
