My Experience

Currently I work in a nursery in Bath. I have been there for nearly 4 years and work across all pre school age groups from baby, toddler room and pre school. At the nursery I have also specialised in giving 121 care to children with special educational needs (mainly autistic spectrum children) where patience and empathy are incredibly important. Prior to working in the nursery I ran my own successful bakery business for 3 years until covid. This was a huge responsibility and demonstrates that I was well organised , hard working and resilient.

Within both my Nursery and Bakery jobs being organised, cleaning and sorting out things are particularly important parts of the job. The Cakery business had a 5* rating from the local authority for all years that I ran it., I am more than happy to do house work.

I currently don’t have a driving license but am very happy to walk everywhere!

I am an active person and love being with children and animals (I have 2 dogs).

I worked here as front of house staff as a Barista, taking orders and cleaning tables and preparing food.
 
Bespoke Cake Baker
2013- 2018

I set up my own website to provide bespoke cakes, specialising in Vegan and gluten free cakes. I additionally sold my cakes in local markets and to cafes as well as customers.

Having been successful as a cake baker I set up my own business from scratch in Widcombe. While I was the on-site baker supplying bread and cakes to the shop and providing bespoke orders to customers I also worked at the front of house interacting with customers and was additionally responsible for Health and Safety and administrating staff rotas and dealing with staff pay. The shop closed due to the impact of Covid.

Combe down nursery   -  Nursery Assistant

I work as part of the nursery team looking after children from babies (over 6x months) through to pre-school (6 years old). For most of my working period at Combe down nursery I have had a specific responsibility for 121 cares for children with special educational needs (particularly autistic spectrum behaviors). In my own time I have done additional training autism and first aid.
