Hello! I’m Paige Macdonald, I’m 21 years old, I’m a professional and enthusiastic caregiver with 7 years experience of providing a safe, well-rounded, nurturing experience for children of all ages and needs. I currently work as a support for learning assistant at a local high school. I work daily with disabled children with a range of needs. I specialise in working with children with autism, ADHD, ADD, anxiety, and learning disabilities. Ranging from high tariff to high functioning. I also am responsible for physically disabled individuals including, wheelchair and frame users. I will be studying History, Politics and Professional Education at university come September. I am a hard worker with a great passion for working with children and have done so since I was 16. I specialise in additional support needs specifically in child development too, and love to incorporate fun and educational activists into my time with each child. Safety and wellbeing is always my top priority and I am first aid trained and specifically trained in epi-pen, epilepsy and working with wheelchair bounded children too. I am also happy to assist in housekeeping duties, mealtime/ meal preps and upholding the homes structure during work. I also offer tutoring services ranging from adaptable learning skills (working with E-readers, extra basic skill development,) for younger children up to revision for national qualifications (including English, history, modern studies, social subjects, criminology) this service can be integrating into my childcare time or separately if needed. My Experience
I currently work as a Support for learning assistant in a local high school. I am primarily working with children with autism, adhd and learning disabilities ranging from high tariff to high functioning. I work 1-1 with children suing adapted learning tools to further their development academically and personally. I also work 1-1 with a wheelchair bounded child. I have nannied and babysat children ranging from newborn to 13 years of age. Also including a range of disabilities and conditions. I have been a consistent, weekly nanny for children in the past and have also been a reliable source for last minute plans! I always ensure a fun, memorable day when working with children and learn to know each child’s likes and dislikes and cater to new experiences and things they will enjoy too!
My Qualifications
PVG CHECKED??HNC early Childhood Practice, First Aid trained, Epi-Pen training, epilepsy training. Also have qualifications in higher English , Modern Studies and History for tutoring purposes.
