Personal Care Assistant: 2017-2020
Provided care for my brother with autism
From 2017 to 2020, I worked as a personal care assistant for my brother, who has autism. My responsibilities included helping with schoolwork, planning creative activities, organizing playdates, and ensuring their safety and well-being. I also assisted with light cleaning, such as washing dishes, tidying up common areas, and keeping the children’s rooms organized. I provided long-term care for a single mother with three children. The first child was a newborn when I began in 2017, and I supported them through their early childhood stages, including newborn care, sleep routines, feeding schedules, and developmental milestones. In 2023, the mother welcomed twins as newborns, and I provided additional care for the twins, including helping with feeding, sleep schedules, and newborn development. When I began with this family, I cared for two children, ages 2 and 5, and later welcomed a newborn into my care in 2023. My responsibilities included meal prep, organizing playtime, assisting with early childhood learning, and helping with household duties. I also provided individualized care for each child based on their developmental needs. Additionally, I managed light cleaning tasks, including tidying up after meals, cleaning play areas, and ensuring the children’s rooms were organized. I developed a strong bond with the family, ensuring a seamless transition when the newborn arrived and integrating newborn care into my routine.

Over 10 Years of Experience in childcare, including long-term nannying and babysitting
CPR and First Aid Certified
Training in Caring for Special Needs Children, specifically those with autism
Strong Knowledge of Child Development, with a focus on early childhood and educational growth
Specialized Education in Waldorf/Montessori School, with a unique perspective on holistic child development
Knowledge of Household Safety, including childproofing and emergency procedures

My Fees

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour

My hourly rate is 10 pounds per hour. Willing to negotiate and be flexible about wages.
