About Me
Welcome to Hope's Children Tiney Home! My name is Nadine and I am a newly registered childminder with 18 years experience as an overall childcare practitioner. I live with my husband, our 1 year old daughter and our two family pets in a safe and loving home in Thornton Heath, Croydon.
Helping children grow and develop has always been my passion and I believe the right foundation of love and support can help every child to be the happiest and healthiest version of themselves.
OUR SERVICES: We are open to families 4 days a week from 8:00am to 6pm with a 2 day a week minimum. We offer full days, morning sessions, afternoon sessions or a combination of your choice. We currently have availability for 2 children aged 6month to 4 years old.
ACTIVITIES: Children will enjoy arts and crafts, song and rhyme time, matt time, weekly baking lessons, sand and water play and a variety of other indoor and outdoor activities that line up with the Early years foundation stage 7 areas of learning.
OUTINGS: We are right in the centre of various play groups, libraries, and parks. Special outings like fun fairs, museums etc, will be discussed with parents as and when they occur.
FOOD: Children will be provided 3 freshly prepared meals a day with drinks and snacks in between.
My Experience
As someone who has grown up with children all around them, I always knew that childcare was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. After years of seeing my mother run her own successful childminding business, I started my professional career as soon as I left college at 17 years old and have worked with young children and teenagers professionally and voluntarily ever since. Over the years:
- I have worked in various private Nurseries with children aged 0 to 5 years old.
- I have worked and run breakfast, after school and holiday clubs with children aged 5 to 12 years old.
- I have worked as a Mentoring Specialist and Team Leader specifically focusing on vulnerable youth from 11 to 18 years old who struggled with mental, emotional and behavioural challenges.
- And I have volunteered as a youth leader in my church community where I worked with youth from 0 to 18
Childcare is the most rewarding job in the world and now that I have a daughter of my own, I understand even more how important it is for families to feel comfortable in knowing that their precious children are receiving the best care possible.
