My Requirements

We are a family of five, looking for an experienced, kind and caring nanny for our three children aged 4 (G), 2.5 (B) and 2 months (G). The role is shared care for the moment as Mum is on maternity leave, but will be largely sole care from the end of 2025 when Mum goes back to work 4 days per week.

G4 attends nursery 5 mornings and 3 afternoons per week in Esher in the term time, and B2.5 attends nursery 4 mornings per week in Walton in the term time. They will both be attending the same school from September. Nursery pickup and drop off will be required (shared with Mum). When not at nursery, the kids enjoy being outdoors, arts and crafts, reading books, baking and role play games. They regularly visit kid-friendly places in Surrey such as play cafes, farms and soft plays.

The role is Monday – Friday, 0730 – 1830 (55 hours p/w), live-out.

The successful candidate will have significant experience in dealing with both small children and babies (including feeding, settling, baby wearing etc). Punctuality and reliability are absolutely paramount, alongside professionalism and commitment. We are also looking for someone robust in terms of dealing with boisterous kids, and someone who is energetic, self-starting and genuinely interested in children.

We will require simple home cooked food for the kids. They have no allergies and eat a wide variety of foods. Other duties will include general tidying of the kids’ areas (kitchen, playroom, bedrooms) and doing the kids’ laundry. We have a housekeeper who deals with deeper cleaning and tidying. Willingness to pitch in with cooking for the family, general tidying or other household errands when the older kids are at nursery (assuming baby is with Mum) is appreciated.

A driver’s license and clean driving record is essential, as is a clean and up to date DBS check. An automatic car will be provided for use during work hours. Non-smokers only please.

Pension and 28 days’ holiday per year (inc. bank holidays) are included. No travel with the family will be required.
