My Summary
About Me
My name is Talita, I’m a 23yo Brazilian girl, and I’ve been an au pair in Europe for the past three years, also doing a lot of babysitting along the way.
I love anything creative—especially arts and crafts! I even have my own Etsy shop where I sell handmade polymer clay creations. I also enjoy dancing and roller skating, and I’m happiest when I’m outside, soaking up the sunshine.
I’ve always been passionate about history and caring for others, which is why I plan to study Occupational Therapy in the future.
And I can’t forget to mention my love for animals! Back home, I have five dogs and two cats, so I’m very comfortable around pets and always happy to be in their company.
My Experience
I have three years of experience as an au pair in Europe, caring for children from 6 months to 13 years old. During this time, I developed strong adaptability, providing personalized care according to each child's needs.
I also have experience working with autistic children, which has taught me to approach their specific needs with patience, understanding, and flexibility. I recognize that each child is unique and requires individual attention, so I always strive to understand their particularities, respecting their pace and creating a safe and nurturing environment.
As a future occupational therapist, my approach is focused on the child’s well-being, creating meaningful moments that contribute to their emotional and cognitive development. I believe that activities such as playing, crafting, reading stories, or singing are essential to making the time with children both fun and educational.
I genuinely enjoy spending time with our little ones. Even though the routine or the days can sometimes be tiring and challenging, it’s always rewarding to end the day knowing that I’ve shared meaningful moments with them and played a part in such an important stage of their learning and growth!
My Qualifications
I'll be starting my studies in Occupational Therapy next year, which will help me understand child development even more. For now, I have three years of experience as an au pair, looking after children from 6 months to 13 years old. During this time, I’ve learned how to care for kids of different ages, create fun activities, and meet each child's individual needs, especially kids with autism.
Even though I’m not studying Occupational Therapy yet, I try to approach my work with a therapeutic mindset, always making sure the children feel supported, safe, and happy. I focus on creating a positive and caring environment where they can thrive.
