About Me
Hiya I'm Aimée! I am a fourth year medical student studying in Wales but I will be home in Guernsey over the summer holidays until the middle of September. I love being outdoors, walking and sea swimming. I also play netball and basketball at uni and I love a bit of musical theatre! I also learnt Viola until 18 so can read music and I recently completed a placement abroad in Paris so brushed up on my French!
My Experience
For two summers, I was a bunk counsellor at a sleepaway camp, looking after a cabin full of brilliant, energetic, and hilarious girls aged 7-13. My job involved keeping them safe, happy, and entertained; organising games and talent shows to calming bedtime giggles (and sometimes homesick tears).
After my first summer, I was promoted to Supervisor, where I led a team of counsellors, planned activities, and made sure everything ran smoothly. Working at camp taught me patience and adaptability, as well as how to handle any challenge that comes my way. Whether it was keeping up with energetic campers, resolving conflicts, or ensuring that every child felt included and cared for, I loved creating a fun, safe, and positive environment where the kids could really thrive.
My Qualifications
I have a basic first aid qualification and a complete enhanced DBS check.
