Hi my name is Freya I am 27 years old. I have a degree in Law with Criminology. I have a DBS on the update service. In my spare time I enjoy going swimming, going for runs and walks. I also like to volunteer in my free time supporting dog shelters and animal rescues. I recently volunteered while traveling in South Africa at a monkey rehabilitation centre for two months working with baboons, vervets and Samango’s. I also enjoyed helping out at a Saturday club for kids 5-18 with special needs when I lived in Bath.
My Experience
I have worked with a boy who is severely autistic and who has epilepsy for 9 years as his personal assistant providing his family respite. For example taking him on days, taking him swimming, trampolining, on holidays. Helping with aspects of his personal care such as bathing, dressing, feeding and medication.
I have worked in special needs schools and behavioral schools providing children with 1:1 support or within small groups. I have a wide range of experience in health care for example working as a support worker with adults and children with learning disabilities and mental health. providing them with 1:1 support in their daily life’s and also providing support with personal care, medication, hospital appointments and diet.
