About Me
Hi, I’m Violet, a 19 year old, living in Brighton and looking for more experience! Having been told from a young age I had a talent for working with children, it is an area I have been exploring, Due to family connections, I have been pursuing opportunities with several children, and have particularly built up experience with SEN children for over 5 years now. I have a real passion for additional needs and exploring individual needs of every child. It’s important to note that I cannot drive, as I know this is important for some families :)
My Experience
I have had various babysitting roles for friends and family since I was only 13. This has ranged from infants to teenagers, and several children with additional needs such as autism, adhd and global development delay.
Before COVID, I was completeing several work experience placements in the reception class of a sussex SEND school. During my time at college, I continued helping out on various occasions for trips and a whole school performance at the Hawthorne theatre in Crawley. Since completing education, I have taken up full time employment as a TA at a SEN school. I work with a variety of complex needs between the ages of 6 and 10, however, my school ranges from ages 4-14 so I have experience with a wide range of age groups. On a daily basis, I practice makaton and the use of PECs and Aided Language Boards. I am comfortable performing personal care needs. We often take the children out into the wider community of trips so I am experienced in keeping children safe in public.
My Qualifications
I have basics English and Maths GCSEs Garde 7 and 8. I also studied Health & Social Care at GCSE level, where I gained a basic knowledge of development stages of children, and this is also where I gained hands on placement experience at a SEN school.
Following on from GCSE, I achieved 3 A-Levels in psychology, with a module on childhood psychology, sociology, which has a major focus on children and education, and geography.
My Availability
Due to my work, I am only available late evenings during the week. Typically, I have plans on weekends but majority are flexible. During school holidays, it is highly likely I will have full availability:)

My Fees
- Babysitting from £12.50 per hour
While I am young, I also have a significant amount of experience and knowledge of children. However, I am open to discussing rates and being flexible to find what works and is needed for individual families
