Hi! I’m Lily, a student at Durham University currently looking for childminding opportunities over the summer break. I’ve always loved spending time with children and helping them learn, play, and grow in a fun and safe environment.
I’m energetic, responsible, and love getting involved in all kinds of activities—from outdoor games and sports to indoor crafts, cooking, and baking (which I’m always happy to share with the kids!). Whether it’s keeping little ones entertained or helping out with routines, I’m passionate about creating a positive and caring experience for both children and parents.
My Experience
I’ve been working with children from a young age and have gained a wide range of experience in different childcare settings. I’ve worked as both a summer camp instructor and a summer school teacher, where I planned and led fun, educational activities for children of various ages.
I also have experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN), and I always strive to create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging environment tailored to each child’s needs.
Most recently, I worked in a nursery caring for children aged 0–4, where I supported daily routines, play, and early development. These roles have helped me build a strong foundation in childcare, and I bring patience, energy, and a genuine love for working with kids to every role.
My Qualifications
I hold an up-to-date enhanced DBS check and have completed online training in both safeguarding and food safety. These qualifications support my commitment to creating a safe, caring, and hygienic environment for all children. I take child wellbeing seriously and always strive to follow best practices when it comes to safety, supervision, and nutrition.
My Availability
I will be available from the 23rd of June to the end of August excluding the 16-26th of July.
