Hi, My name is Shamso Jama.I am a newly registered childminder based in Abbeywood , offering a nurturing, fun, and safe home-from-home environment for children aged 6months – 8years.
As a passionate caregiver, I understand how important it is to find the right childcare for your family. I aim to build strong, trusting relationships with both children and parents, providing a supportive, engaging space where children can thrive emotionally, socially, and developmentally.
What I provide:
A calm, friendly, and welcoming setting
Stimulating activities including arts & crafts, messy play,songs, stories, and early learning
I am also offering Arabic reading and writing,
Daily routines that promote confidence, independence, and social skills
Plenty of outdoor time: garden play, park visits, nature walks, and local outings

Healthy meals and snacks (dietary needs catered for)
Daily updates and photos (if parents wish)

About Me & My Experience
I’m not only a registered childminder — I’m also a proud mum and grandmother. I’ve spent many years raising my own children and now enjoy the joy of helping care for my grandchildren. These experiences have given me a deep understanding of what children need to feel safe, loved, and confident as they grow.
I believe in creating a calm, caring, and supportive environment where children feel like part of the family. My home is filled with warmth, patience, and plenty of fun — just like it was when I raised my own little ones.
Becoming a registered childminder has allowed me to combine my love for children with my natural nurturing skills, and I feel truly passionate about giving each child the best possible start in life.

My Availability
I currently have spaces available and would be happy to welcome new children into my care.
Open Monday to Friday, with weekend care available by prior arrangement and with advance notice
Hours: 7:00am – 6:00pm]
Caring for children aged 6 months to 8 years
Offering full-time, part-time, and term-time only care
Flexible hours to suit your family’s needs
Weekend care is available, but please note that it requires advance notice. Contact me to discuss your needs, and I’d be happy to arrange a visit or check availability.
