Hi, I’m Katie, and I’m 23 years old.
I am a fun, creative and enthusiastic individual who has 10+ years of experience with children age newborn-14yrs. Being with and around children has always been a passion of mine. Which I think is due to being a part of a big family, enabling me to have hands on experience with close relatives since I was 10! I have 7 nieces and nephews, who I adore dearly and have helped with their care since birth. I have previously given up my full time job as a childcare practitioner to help care for my elderly Nan, who has recently moved in with us. But am looking for getting some extra work in, as miss being with little people everyday and watching them bloom and flourish in my care. I really enjoy engaging in a range of activities, from messy play and arts a crafts to outdoor play and going on adventures, not forgetting plenty of stories in between!
My Experience
3 years working in childcare looking after 6 children daily with my Mum as we worked together running a highly successful childminding business.
2 years at college before that gaining a health and social care L3 qualification, and a L2 mental health qualification
Part of a big family so have been involved in the care for children newborn-14yrs
I have also had several work experience placements in local primary schools and a preschool
I also volunteer at a baby and toddler group at a local church every week and have done babysitting for several years.
