About Me
I am a 30 year old stay at home mam to a little boy named Elijah born in February 2023 and we live with dad Chris, been married for 2 years together for 6!
Elijah had a pretty traumatic start to his life, born early and experiencing collapsed lungs and requiring intensive care for the first few days of his life due to lack of oxygen.
Due to this, Elijah has significant neurological deficits and is diagnosed with Autism, Learning Disabilities (working diagnosis to be confirmed at 3.5), ARFID, Sensory Processing Disorder and (query) brain damage. He is completely non verbal, has extremely limited communication skills and tends to hand lead adults who are close to him. He does not acknowledge other children or even adults, he does not respond to his name or play conventionally. Elijah requires quite a lot of support that currently no nursery can accommodate however we are looking into LA funding for a 1-1 for him and looking into childminding in the meantime. We essentially only require 1-2 mornings a week for 3 hours maximum for the purpose of his EHCP so we can definitively say that Elijah needs a specialist setting as oppose to a mainstream setting. Unable to do full days as Elijah has ARFID and mealtimes are a lot of hard work and take quite a while.
Elijahs developmental age is between 7 and 11 months currently at the age of 2 years 4 months old.
My Requirements
3 hours a day 2 times a week where there is availability to gain professional input for EHCP and to help Elijah develop through play.
