About Me
I am a single parent to my daughter, Hattie (Harriet) who is 3 (as of May 2025). Hattie is my IVF miracle and the absolute centre of my world. If I could, I'd spend every waking moment with her, but I have to work to keep a roof over our heads, so it's important she's in the best place possible when she's not with me (or her dad, who she sees twice a week). My ex-husband and I are currently in the process of a relatively amicable divorce after he opted to leave back in March 2024. We're a vegan family with three cats (who obviously are not vegan!). We love being in nature, exploring new places and spotting birds and bugs wherever we go - even just in our garden at home! We love crafts and being creative and just making a mess - especially with water!
My Requirements
I currently work two days a week, Tuesday and Wednesday, but I'm looking to increase this to three days from September 2025, to include Thursday. I have a full-time position but I'm currently on a flexible working arrangement due to my circumstances but my employer are super supportive and always has been. Hattie currently attends a nursery in Long Eaton but has never really properly settled and I think she'll do much better and be much happier in a home-from-home setting with a childminder.
Hattie's current nursery has an outdoor space but it is made up of artificial grass and they don't leave site so she doesn't get to be out in nature and explore the things she loves. So it's important to me that these are things she can do with a childminder in future.
