Childminder Needed – Afterschool Support for Two Lovely Kids in a Warm, Welcoming Home
We’re a friendly family looking for a reliable and caring childminder to help with afterschool care during term time on Tuesdays and Thursdays from around 4–7pm. We have two children: a 14-year-old daughter who is independent and self-sufficient, and an 11-year-old son who is bright, energetic, and has high-functioning autism and ADHD. The main focus of the role will be supporting our son—keeping him engaged, helping with homework, and providing a calm, structured environment.
We also have a very friendly dog named Tilly, so comfort with pets is a must!
The role includes:
• Providing supervision and companionship for our son
• Preparing a simple evening meal for the children
• Light homework support or engaging activities
• Being a warm, consistent presence in our home
We live in a spacious, welcoming home, and while my partner and I may occasionally be around, we are usually working away on those days. We’re open to a childminder who may need to bring their own child along, as long as it’s a good fit for everyone.
