I’ve had the joy of supporting children and young people in a variety of settings, from church activity groups to community events. I love planning arts and crafts activities, exploring nature, and encouraging creativity through play. I’m patient, adaptable, and always calm under pressure — with a strong understanding of safeguarding and child well-being.
Whether it’s helping with homework, organizing fun games, or simply being a friendly face after school, I aim to build positive connections with both children and their families. I’m also first and foremost a great communicator and active listener — kids find me easy to talk to, and parents know they can rely on me to be punctual, professional, and kind-hearted.
My Experience
I volunteer as a helper with Barnardo’s in the Children’s Services team, where I support activity days and group sessions aimed at creating positive, enriching experiences for children. My role involves assisting staff in preparing and running activities, engaging with the children throughout the sessions, and helping to maintain a safe and welcoming environment. This hands-on experience has nurtured my ability to build rapport with young people, respond thoughtfully to their needs, and work collaboratively within a team.
Alongside my voluntary work, I am currently pursuing a degree focused on children and families, with modules that deepen my knowledge of child development, care, and well-being. I’ve completed two key modules:
- Introduction to Childhood Studies and Child Psychology – This module explores how children and young people grow and develop, with insights drawn from anthropology, sociology, psychology, and childhood studies. It covers topics such as mental health, education, adolescence, diverse families, global childhoods, and children’s rights.
- Introducing Health and Social Care – This module offers a broad look at care services and the experiences of those who give and receive care. Using real-life case studies, it explores how care is delivered across various settings and strengthens understanding of key issues in social support and healthcare.
These studies have enhanced my understanding of emotional, intellectual, social, and cultural development and shaped the thoughtful, informed approach I bring to every babysitting role.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £9.50 per hour
My standard rate is £9.50 per hour, with flexibility depending on the needs of each family. I'm happy to accommodate daytime or evening bookings and can adjust based on the number of children or specific responsibilities such as mealtimes, bedtime routines, or light tidying. I believe in clear, fair communication when it comes to pricing and am always open to discussing what works best for your family.
