About Me
As a fully qualified UK Early Years teacher with over 7 years of classroom experience, I specialise in teaching children from FS1 to Year 2, with a strong focus on early literacy, phonics, communication, and maths. I currently work as an Assistant Headteacher in EYFS at a British curriculum school in Dubai, where I lead on early years assessment, curriculum design, and phonics provision.
My tutoring sessions are tailored to the individual needs of each child, using a play-based, multi-sensory approach to ensure learning is fun, engaging, and effective. I use a blend of phonics-based strategies (such as Letters and Sounds or Little Wandle), interactive games, hands-on resources, and personalised challenges to build confidence and close learning gaps.
Lessons are typically 45 minutes to an hour, depending on the age and concentration level of the child. I always ensure there's a balance between focused instruction and child-led exploration, so children remain motivated and enjoy their learning journey.

Hi! I'm Bethanie a UK-qualified teacher with over 7 years’ experience, currently working as an Assistant Head in a British curriculum school in Dubai, but in the UK over the Summer. I specialise in Early Years and Key Stage 1, and I absolutely love helping children build confidence and make real progress in their learning.
My sessions are relaxed, fun and tailored to suit each child. Whether your little one needs support with phonics, early reading, writing or maths, I use tried-and-tested strategies, a calm approach and lots of encouragement to help them feel successful. I know how important it is that children enjoy their learning and feel proud of themselves too.
With classroom and leadership experience behind me, you can feel reassured your child is in safe hands. I’d love to support them on their learning journey!
My Qualifications
I hold a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate in Education) with Qualified Teacher Status from the UK and have over 7 years of experience teaching in Early Years and Key Stage 1. I’ve worked in both the UK and Dubai, and I’m currently an Assistant Headteacher in EYFS at a British curriculum school. I have extensive experience with early phonics, child development, and leading teaching and learning across Foundation Stage.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £20.00 per hour
- Tutoring from £50.00 per hour
My babysitting rate is £20–£30 per hour, depending on timing and location.
Tutoring sessions are £50–£70 per hour, based on the level of support required and whether resources are being provided.
