About Me
We are a family who live in Corsham, Wiltshire. We have a twelve year old daughter who has a range of disabilities and complex health needs, including a learning disability and autism. We are looking for part time, term time support. Hrs have some flexibility.
My Requirements
We are looking for a part time role as a Learning Support Assistant from September 2025.
8-12 hours per week, term-time. Sessions would be 2-3 hrs long, depending on day and availability. Some flexibility of times/ days, eg could be 12-2.30pm or 1.30-3.30/4.30pm or 1-3pm.
-The role will include providing a range of educational activities and opportunities, collaboratively and with support of specialist tutor. Promoting Independence and self-esteem. Providing interactive, creative and sensory based activities. Potential to take child out and about in local community eg library, walks etc.
-We are looking for someone calm, gentle and resourceful who can be flexible in their approach. Experience of alternative forms of communication beneficial, though training can be given. Some experience of supporting individuals with disabilities and sensory processing needs important.
-Willingness to undertake training with regards to gastrostomy feeding.
-Looking for self-employed candidates, though would also consider employing someone, so do reach out. Due to the role requiring personal intimate care, a female is required.
- Driving licence advantageous, though not essential.
