About Me
I am 48 years old and married with three children between the ages of thirteen and nineteen. I am NNEB Qualified and Level 3 SEN Teaching Assistant.
Looking for before/ after school, full time during the school holidays nanny work. Ideally with special needs Mon to Friday from January. Before 8a.m., after 6p.m. and on weekends for babysitting work I charge a higher rate.
Please note I ideally need a job that doesn't require the use of a car.
All my children are autistic and my eldest attended a special needs school. In my spare time I enjoy reading, arts and crafts, swimming and cooking with my children. I would love to find a job looking after autistic children.
My Experience
I am NNEB and SEN Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualified. Currently I am looking after a Complex needs child with Global Development Delay and Autism. Prior to this I worked as a full time nanny with a EAL child with high needs and is likely Autistic. Unfortunately, this was short term due to the family moving house. Also doing agency work as a nanny. During which I have experience with a 5 year old with speech delay, challenging behaviour and an EHCP and a 3 year old with delayed development and challenging behaviour. At the beginning of this year, I looked after a family with three children with severe separation anxiety. Their baby and 3 year old displayed very challenging behaviour! Between June and November I looking after 2 year old twins with speech delay. From August 2021 until June 2022 I was an SEN Support Worker for a ten year old boy with multiple special needs including autism and PDA. Prior to this I was helping a pre verbal four-year-old Autistic boy with his speech. Prior to that I worked on a supply basis in a pre-school and did occasional daytime babysitting, while being a voluntary team member helping to support special needs parents/carer's to understand their children's needs in my Church extention. I have also looked after an ADHD child in his own home and have experience looking after special needs children in a school setting and home setting. I have nine years experience working mainly in Day Nurseries Working in the baby room and two to three room. I love potty training children and the challenges that come with two to three year old children! I also worked as a nanny to a six year old child and to a nine month old. I can change babies nappies, make up babies feeds, cook simple healthy meals, read to children or help them learn to read, play with children both inside and out helping them to develop their large and fine motor skills, be kind, considerate and patient to the children in my care.
For five years I helped out on a voluntary basis in my Church's toddler group. I set out and tidy away toys and equipment, I play with the children and read them stories. I also do music and movement with them using musical instruments. I talk to the parents and build up a good relationship with them.
From November 2015 - January 2017 I was a Parent reading support partners in Longlands Primary School where two of my children attend and I read with the year six children on a weekly basis.
Between February and June 2017
I have worked for Link Education in mainstream schools and nurseries looking after a cerebal palsy child in reception class and doing group work with a variety of special needs children. In day nurseries I have a nursery who asks for me by name to come back and work at their excellent French and English speaking Day Nursery.

We couldn't have asked for a better person when we needed help most! Ruth was asked to help us at very short notice and we had to leave for a wedding and she had a job interview at around the same time we needed her to be at home looking after our kids. But she managed to attend her interview and make her way back to us and did not disappoint at all. Not only are we so highly impressed - she conducted herself around the home the same way we would have done if we were around and for someone who we have never used before to be so much of valuable service to us was just very comforting and our children were well looked after and taken care of - so we are left with nothing but deep appreciation for this amazing lady who took her work so seriously that we will look no further for help as we know who to turn to when we need such assistance! Thanks ever so much for making our home yours!
Ruth looked after my daughter who is 9 months years old. My baby loved her! She came to my home and was very punctual and helped with all the different baby tasks (feeding, nappy changing, playing etc.). I very much recommend her as babysitter/childminder.
Ruth has been looking after our son who is almost 9 years old since September 2016. As both my wife and I worked in the city, we needed additional care for our child after school hours.
She has not only looked after our son but also engaged him with age-appropriate games, stories and activities, which we are very pleased with and she also keep a well documented daily reports which is great.
Ruth is caring, affectionate, polite and has lot of patience and our son has bonded well with Ruth and her daughters, who are also fond of Pari.
We thank her for all the hard work she's put in looking after Pari.
