About Me
My name is Emma Bush. I am an Ofsted registered childminder and have been graded 'Good' in my recent Ofsted inspection.
I have been married for 12 years and have an 18 year old daughter and a 11 year old son.
I live in a lovely family home in Cooksbridge, Lewes. It has a spacious garden and plenty of indoor space for the children to play. I have beds and cots available for the children who need to sleep during the day.
I offer a range of activities including messy play, crafts, singing and dancing, story time, cooking and generally just having fun!
All children are cared for following the EYFS guidelines. During the day I also visit the farm, park and other trips out and during school term we visit toddler groups, childminding groups and the local library.
I offer home cooked meals and snacks which are nutritionally balanced and delicious. I use a 2 week rolling menu which is available for you to see. Parents are also welcome to provide their own healthy food for their child.
I offer contract for term time only or throughout the whole year.
I can drop off or pick up from all local schools/nurseries/pre schools (depending on start and finish time). I currently collect from Hamsey school and St Peters in Chailey.
I get great pleasure in looking after my own and other people's children and am passionate about caring for them and watching them flourish and develop.
In my spare time I enjoy cooking and spending time with family and friends and I also attend a weekly pilates group.
My Experience
I have been working in childcare for 19 years. I worked as a nursery practitioner in a day care nursery for 2 years and then moved on to a private school nursery where I worked as a childcare practitioner for 2 - 5 year olds. I was also the SENCO. I was in charge of the after school and holiday care for children aged 2 - 11 years in the same school. I had a lot of responsibility in this job as I was in charge of staffing, menu planning, activities and assuring the health and safety of all the children.
I left this job to have my daughter and during this time I nannied for two families. In 2008 I started work with a training company and gained my assessing qualification. I assessed childcare and play work NVQ's at level 2 and 3. I have been a qualified childminder since February 2012.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
£6.00 per hour - all meals and snacks included in price (if required)
I also offer the Early Years Entitlement funding for 2 & 3 year olds (up to 30hours per week)
