About Me
Qualifications (degree level) and excellent references, DBS and first aid.
I offer a home from home setting with lots of learning within our play. We attend groups regularly for socialisation, we also do activities at home and get out on walks and to the park or garden. Being a childminder with smaller numbers than nurseries I have the advantage of being able to adapt my provision to suit the specific children in my care. I track children’s progress against the EYFS (early years curriculum) and plan activities and games to help them develop the new skills and achievements appropriate for each child. Each child has a learning journal and daily book. I find it so rewarding watching the children grow and develop and absolutely love my job!
My Experience
I have been in childcare over 17 years now and still love what I do! I have experiance with all age ranges and many types of children and parents. I’ve worked as a nanny, in nursery and now as a childminder. I have twins experience, newborn experience, and newborn twin experience, and experience with special needs. I am also a mother myself.
My Qualifications
I am an ofsted registered childminder and nanny, have first aid and food hygiene certificates am DBS checked, and have taken training on the EYFS . I like to keep up to date doing further courses so am always adding to my knowledge. I am insured. I can do basic Makaton signing. I have GCSE's and A levels and a degree (psychology including a module on developmental psychology). I also have a clean driving licence and my own car insured to carry children. I can cook and promote healthy eating.
My Availability
I have availability from the new year. I am reducing to part time work so only looking for part time children.
