About Me
I'm an Ofsted registered childminder, based very close to Petts Wood train station. I offer childcare in a happy,warm,friendly and loving environment. I believe all children are individuals and I hope to work in partnership with parents in order to offer your child the type of care you would wish for. I have a wide selection of toys,books and creative art materials for children of all ages. I attend various toddler groups, library for story time, numerous parks and enjoy days out. My Experience
I'm an Ofsted registered childminder and a member of Pacey. I have been registered since 2006. I have been graded good by Ofsted in my inspections.
My Qualifications
I am paediatric first aid trained, and have attended many training courses over the last 12 years covering many aspects of childcare. I have an enhanced police check and a clean driving licence.
My Availability
I work 4 days a week, Monday through to Thursday.

Jean has been nothing short of amazing with our two young girls (aged 4 and 1). Since moving to the area, we struggled to find a suitable, reliable and trustworthy child minder, but Jean changed all that.
As two working parents, it has been important to have wrap around care. Jean has continuously been flexible with our schedules and does the pre-school pick up and drop off with our 4 year old. During the day, our 1 year old goes to toddler groups and dines like a queen.
Both of our girls love spending time at her home and they are excited every morning to see their Jean. Honestly, I could not recommend her highly enough. She offers nothing by warmth and love towards our girls and has played a huge role in nurturing them.

Our daughter (now 2) has been with Jean since she was 9 months old and our second daughter will be joining her when she is around 9/10 months.
Jean is a wonderful childminder and we feel very lucky that we found her. She has a beautiful home and provides a safe and fun environment for the children. This includes a play area in the house, the garden and a Wendy house at the back of the garden with plenty of toys. She also does lots of activities out with the children including playgroups, woodland walks, play dates, soft play and library visits.
She goes above and beyond and has given us advice as first time parents for e.g when to start thinking about pre-school for our daughter. She is very helpful and understanding and willing to discuss any issues outside of her working hours. She is also flexible and very communicative. Our daughter loves the time that she spends with her and we could not recommend her highly enough.

Jean is an extremely calm, caring and flexible childminder.
My daughter absolutely loved her time spent with her.
She was with Jean from turning one until nearly four years old.
Her home is like a home from home experience and has the same views as we do with bringing up our children.
My daughter still talks about her time with Jean, and misses her and her family.
Jean used to take her to playgroups, soft play, woodland walks and even a few farm visits
As well as doing lots of crafts indoors.
We cannot thank Jean enough for taking such great care of our daughter. That is all you ask for when you put your trust into someone looking after your children.
She is a credit to herself and we wouldn’t of wanted anyone else to care for our daughter in those early years.

My son has been with Jean since he was 10 months old (now 4) and my 11 month old daughter has just started in her care.
Jean provides a fun, safe environment for the children she cares for. They frequently explore the local area and get an opportunity to meet other children of similar ages.
Jean has the same values as my husband and I, and I can trust that she is instilling these in my children when they are in her care.
My son has loved his time with Jean and she has made life so much easier as working parents.

Jean has been looking after my little boy for around 18 months now (he is now 3) and has my daughter a few days a week before and after school.
Jean provides a calm, welcoming, loving and safe care setting for the kids and they love going there. Her home is lovely and well looked after and the kids have a better diet with her food than they do at home! My son is particularly taken with Jean and lights up every time he sees her.
Jean is very trustworthy, reliable, understanding and flexible. There have been a number of times where we would have been completely stuck if Jean hadn’t come to our rescue or been flexible with pick ups/drop offs. She makes juggling work and family that much easier. I genuinely do not know what we would do without her. She also works in partnership with us with good, transparent communication and really understands each child and treats them as an individual.
I can’t recommend Jean enough. She is an excellent childminder.

Jean has been looking after our daughter since she turned one (over two years now). Jean has been fantastic with our little one and is like a second Mum to her. The family unit that Jean provides is exactly what a parent hopes for when you put your trust in someone else looking after your child. Obviously being able to go to toddler groups etc. has been difficult over the last couple of years but Jean has always tried to keep the days as interesting as possible for her little ones, frequently taking them to the woods or the outdoor play areas. Jean has been extremely accommodating with timings of drop-offs and pick-ups and nothing is too difficult for her, she is a credit to her profession. Although we have recently moved out of the area, my daughter loves going to see Jean and the other kids that much that we will keep sending her to Jean's in the holidays.

Jean has been looking after my two children since they were 2.5 years and 11 months olds. We’ve known her for four years. She is kind and caring and also one of the most organised and reliable people I know. My children adore her. They want to see her even on the days she doesn’t look after them! We could not ask for more in a childminder. She is invariably punctual and dependable, and at the same time she has been flexible and understanding at all times towards our family. My children are now at school and we’ve decided to keep Jean as our childminder instead of doing the before and after school clubs because of the brilliant bond she’s formed with the kids. We feel incredibly lucky to have found a childminder as excellent as Jean.

Jean looked after both my son and daughter over a four year period and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending her to anyone. We only made the sad decision to leave Jean in July 2019 as we no longer needed childcare.
She made the transition back to work in 2014 after I had my daughter very easy, and both my children settled and bonded very quickly with Jean. The children both thoroughly enjoyed their time there, they were always visiting different playgroups, soft plays, parks and play cafes. Her setting is extremely clean and the food she provided was great.
Jean is a very experienced childminder and this comes across in her calm attitude to any situation. She is very flexible and understanding, also. She juggles the needs of children with different ages very well and caters for their varying developmental stages. She is a very warm person and it was always a great reassurance my son and daughter were in such a loving environment.

Jean has been child minding my daughter since she was a baby. From the outset I found Jean approachable, friendly, organised and really enthusiastic about working with children. I was aware from her profile that she was already looking after children of a similar age to my daughter at the time and I found her to be a good fit for my daughter. My daughter very quickly felt comfortable going to her and within a few days she was excited about going there and also spending time with other children. Jean often takes my daughter for days out or to toddler groups which has been great for my daughter and she always comes back well rested and happy. She has always also been very organised and a great communicator and always makes sure that she keeps in touch about what is happening and how my daughter is doing. Her house is also set up well for kids as she has a back room with lots of toys which my daughter seems to enjoy playing with. She is fantastic at balancing the needs of the kids she looks after and I would truly recommend anyone to send their children to her. I hoope to keep my daughter with her for at least a couple of days a week as it seems to really work well and keep my daughter happy.
