About Me
I am a registered childminder with good and outstanding ofsted reports. I'm a mum of two, Ella is 23 years old and Olivia is 17.
I love my job and am very passionate about providing a loving home for children to attend whilst their parents go to work or just need a little help. I provide a variety of activities every day, including trips to our local parks, pramtime, daisy nook, singing groups, the library and other places that will help with developing their learning and life experiences.

My Experience
I have worked with children since I studied the Btec National Diploma in childhood studies(Eq- NVQ Level 3) 24 years ago. I have worked as a one to one support in a special needs school, I've worked as a teaching assistant in a primary school and as a deputy supervisor at a private nursery before becoming a childminder.
I have worked with children from babies up to 11 years.
My Qualifications
BTEC National Diploma in childhood Studies - Qualified in 2000.
Paediatric First Aid
Attended ICAN and HENRY training.
Current Safeguarding training up to date.
Food Hygiene
Good and Outstanding reports from OFSTED.
My Availability
Opening Hours are negotiable at time of contract to see if I can meet your requirements and the price will be negotiated to match the hours needed. Usually around £35per day.
Morning and after school spaces are charged at £6 per hour. This includes a drink, snack, activities, resources and anything else they need whilst they attend.
I can drop off and collect children from StJohn's C of E Primary School in Failsworth.

My Fees
- Childminding from £6.00 per hour
Fees are dependent on hours required and are therefore negotiable at time of contract.
My charges are £35 per day or £6 per hour. From September 2025 my daily fees will increase to £40 per day.
A full day is from 8am until 5pm but if a later time is required we’ll discuss your needs.

I had my first daughter during Covid, and the thought of going back to work and leaving her in a nursery to be just one of many children there, after it had been just me and her for a whole year, was terrifying.
Luckily Rachel was recommended to me and I could not be more grateful.
She provides the most amazing home from home care. My girls absolutely love going the Rachel's house! Her house is a child's paradise with all the toys they could wish for and her amazing garden that they can play in till their heart's content.
She provides every opportunity possible to support their development. She goes to great lengths to help them get ready for starting school, and provides fantastic wrap around care for them once they are in school.
She cares a great deal for the children in her care and she always ensures that they feel happy and safe when they are with her. She went above and beyond for me when my eldest was struggling with the hand over process, making it as smooth process as possible for both of us.
She has always made herself available for me when I have needed her, and she supports our family in any way she can.
I could not recommend enough. She is truly the best childminder there is.

I've worked with young children for most of my life and in my role as a Primary School Teacher I've come across the good, the bad and the ugly people that decide to care for children to make a living. For this reason, when my first daughter was born in 2009 and I was faced with the task of finding a suitable child care provider...it seemed like an extremely daunting task. Added to this, my daughter was born with various health complications and there were a lot of questions marks hanging over her physical and learning development. I was incredibly anxious and a little bit disbelieving that I would ever be able to find anyone that would be able to live up to the expectations that I had set out in my head.
And then I met Rachel...
She provides the ultimate in home from home care. From day one it's been the smoothest most positive experience of childcare, beyond anything I could've imagined. Rachel provides truly individualised care for every child and their family. She has both of my girls now and I am so grateful to her for the amazing service that she provides. I honestly couldn't recommend her enough...without doubt, the cream of the crop!

Rachel has been looking after my daughter for a number of years now and I can honestly say she is fantastic. My daughter loves being with Rachel, she is kind, caring, fun and loving, she really does go above and beyond. I couldn't ask for a better Childminder.

Absolutely the best childminder around by far , my first daughter went to Rachael for 6 years and now my youngest has been going for nearly a year and both have thrived being under Rachael's care , she is kind , caring and very professional goes above and beyond . The girls absolutely love her to infact they don't want to come home

Rachel has been the childminder for my two boys for the past 6 years. The reason I chose a childminder was because I wanted my boys to be in a loving home environment which is home from home and that is exactly what Rach provides. My boys are now 10 and 8 and are still excited about going to Rachels as they were the day they started. She's provides the love, care and entertainment that chidren need and the boys are always very happy and excited to go each morning.. My boys are very different and I love how Rach has ensured that both the boys have activities that they both enjoy doing.. I also love that if the boys just want to relax and chill out they have they are able to do so on what they call "Rach's comfy sofas".
Thanks Rach for being an wonderful childminder to George and Harry you have not only been amazing with them but, given me the reassurance that they are is brilliant hands. X x

Rachel has been looking after my daughter both before and after school for the last 5 years. Rachel is reliable and trustworthy. She is always accommodating and I feel completely confident putting my only daughter in her care. Above all else, Rachel provides a loving, stimulating environment with the confines of appropriate discipline. I would not hesitate to recommend Rachel, in fact, I would actively encourage you to try and place your child with her.
