About Me
Hi, my name i Jennie, and I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I live in Creekmoor with my partner, our two daughters, who are 21 and 14,our 2 friendly little cats and our dopey dog Lula.
In my last Ofsted inspection Dec 2022, Where I was graded as Good.
I have been working as a childminder for thirteen years now so am very experienced.
I have a level 3 diploma in childcare as well as being first aid trained, safeguarding trained, food hygiene course, dbs checked I have completed a SEND course and have taken behaviour management training. I regularly update my training to keep up to date.
I offer a warm home-from-home childcare service and give all children the chance to grow and thrive at their own pace. I look after all the children how i would like my own children to be cared for. I create a messaging group for two way communication with parents, I send photos and information on how your child is doing as well as sharing the day to day info with you.
I support the children's learning and development through fun, carefully planned activities, following the Early Years Foundation Stage (eyfs) as well as plenty of opportunity to let the children simply play and enjoy themselves.
I am outdoorsy and love to get outside in the natural environment. The children have so much fun exploring, learning and playing no matter what the weather, puddles are there to be jumped in!
Our other activities include toddler groups, children's centers, farms, parks, soft play areas, other childminders homes, the beach and the woods. Indoors I have a lovely playroom with large range of toys to suit all ages, puzzles, dressing up, drawing, crafts, books, playdough, cooking and a garden.
My Experience
As well as the first-hand experience of having my own two children, and working in a pre school.
I have exerience with Eczema, asthma and dyspraxia as either my own children, or children i have minded have these conditions. I also have experience of cerebal palsy and gastrostomy feeding tubes, due to having a minded child and my younger brother who has severe CP who is tube fed via a feeding button and pump.

Completed the BCP childminding course
Both myself, partner and daughter are CRB/dbs checked
pediatric first aid certificate
Basic food hygiene certificate
Fire safety checked
Safeguarding trained
Behaviour management training
Own transport with a full clean licence
I have completed Senco training
Able to offer 2,3&4 year old funding. (Including the new working parent 15 hrs for 2 year olds and then 9 month olds from September)
Can take the childcare vouchers and the government tax free scheme.
My Availability
I will have one space on Tuesday, Wed, Thu and Fri fromSeptember 2016.

Our son was 7 months when he started care at Jennie’s. He is used to being on someone when being put to sleep so naturally struggled to sleep by himself in the care setting. Jennie was very understanding and calm about the situation while helping and encouraging him to calm down and take a nap and tried various methods to be accommodating. He is now 18 months old and has settled in nicely and is nicely paired with similar-aged children with various opportunities to go out and play with other kids from different settings. I am often in awe hearing about the daily plans Jennie comes up with such as beech outings and going to various parks and farms. He enjoys his time at childcare and has learned to sleep by himself. She has been rated Good by the recent Ofsted inspection.

Jennie is very friendly and understanding. She was very understanding and cooperative when we needed extra days of childcare last minute. Our daughter loves going to Jennie and asks us almost every day if she’s going to Jennie the next day. She really looks forward to it. The setting offers plenty of toys, activities with plenty of outings in nearby parks, and drop-in sessions with other childminders nearby. This makes the whole experience for the little one way more exciting with the opportunity to make more friends.

Jennie looked after our little girl from a year old for a year and a half and we were very sad to leave!
She is kind, caring and creative and also really flexible and great value for her time.
Can’t wait recommend even, my little girl he developed so well with her and they often meet with other child minders so lots of socialising!

A real home from home environment, Jennie really cares for the children she looks after like her own. She always has a real fun packed day planned and I loved seeing the pictures and hearing the stories of their outings.
Always flexible and and reliable. Such a friendly lady with a warm, welcoming and social environment for the children.
